SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Phoebe Worth Medical Center dedicated a room Friday to a little girl who spent much of her life in that Sylvester hospital.
8-year-old Savanna K. Delk died In July, and suffered from a muscle deteriorating disease.
Room 110 at the hospital is now dedicated in her memory.
She was in and out of the hospital for seven years.
Nurses and staff members got close to her and wanted to honor her.
"Savannah was very special to us, like all of our patients, but with Savannah she was here a lot. Room 110 is the one she was always in when she would come, it's the closest to the nurses desk so we can keep an eye on her," said Kim Gilman, Director Of Nursing.
Staff and family members released pink balloons after the dedication.
