ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Lee County murder trial has ended for the week and will resume Monday.

Craig Johnson is on trial for the stabbing death of a woman prosecutors call his lover. Jurors heard testimony all week about the brutal murder of 23 year old Nicole Judge.  She was stabbed to death in her apartment on Winding Way in February 2008.

The State rested its case late this afternoon. Next week, the defense will present its case. Johnson doesn't deny he killed Judge, but says it was in self defense. The trial resumes Monday morning at nine.
