Copper theft suspects arrested

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Three men are charged with stealing copper from irrigation systems in Dougherty and Worth Counties.  

18 year old Devin Crenshaw of Albany has been arrested and charged with felony theft by taking.  

Two more Sylvester men are wanted by Dougherty County Police. 32 year Patrick Avant and 36 year old Randy Stovall are wanted for four counts of theft by taking.

Wednesday, three Dougherty County farmers reported several irrigation pivots had been striped of the electrical copper wire that runs them.

The Worth County Sheriff's Office is also investigating several similar copper thefts, and more arrests are expected.
