THOMAS CO. , GA (WALB) - Right now investigators are working to determine if this latest ATM theft is linked to others in and around this area. Same story, same M-O. Two men in a pickup truck tying a rope around an ATM, hooking it to a truck and driving off.

Suzie Q's surveillance video captured outside the store around 2AM. A maroon or burgundy Dodge Ram pickup backs up to the front of the store.

You see a man getting out of the passenger seat. He just used a sledge hammer to break the glass window. He takes a rope from the bed of the truck that's connected to the tailgate. Ties that rope around the ATM.

The truck then pulls forward and out comes the ATM leaving a trail of destruction behind.

They put the cash machine in the bed of the pickup and then drive off. It caused hundreds of dollars in damages to the store.

The manager of Suzie Q's says they'll have to replace the wall and all of the glass. It isn't known how much money was in the ATM.

This crime is very similar to recent ATM thefts in Mitchell, Grady, as well as Thomas County and in the Tallahassee area.

Right now police are on the lookout for that maroon or burgundy older model Dodge Ram truck. If you've seen it you're asked to call the Thomas County Sheriffs Office.
