ADEL, GA (WALB) - A manhunt is underway tonight for a trusty at the Cook County Jail who apparently got tired of cleaning the floors, and just up and left just after midnight.
30-year old Robert McCormick, who's also known as Lil Duck, was buffing the floors in the jailhouse hall when he slipped out a back door and got into a waiting vehicle.
"They picked him up and he left the jail," said Cook County Sheriff John Daughtrey. "We'll have to review our policies and procedures to keep this from happening again. He's not considered a dangerous inmate."
McCormick was in jail on drug charges. He's 5'8", 170 pounds. If you have any information, please contact the Cook County Sheriff's Office at 229-896-7471.
