ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A woman stabbed a man during an argument in East Albany, but it was apparently self defense.

Police say 48-year old Sarah Woodliff stabbed 55-year old Timothy Watkins around noon on East Broad Avenue. He stumbled next door to AJAX liquors where an employee called 911. Watkins was taken to the hospital in an ambulance.

APD Media Manager Phyllis Banks-Whitley said, "When I arrived at the scene, he was conscious and breathing and was able to stand up on his own."

Police say Woodliff stabbed Watkins in self defense and they do not plan to charge her. Watkins, however, may face criminal charges.
