ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Site work has begun on the new shopping center at the intersection of U.S. Highway 19 and Glendale Road.
The new shopping center will be anchored by a new Publix grocery store, the second one in our area, and will have eight other stores in the main plaza, with space for two more freestanding stores at the front of the plaza.
The developer is Albany native Fred Hand who is working on his first project in his home area.
The new shopping center is expected to be done within the next year.
