ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Police say an Albany woman, who stabbed her husband when he attacked her, won't be charged with a crime.

Melva Williams told police that David Williams forced his way in through the backdoor of their home on South McKinley Street Sunday afternoon and attacked her in the shower.

She stabbed the 6-foot-2, 275 pound Williams in the chest with a kitchen knife.

Williams was treated for his injuries then taken to jail on burglary and trespass charges.
