THOMASVILLE,  GA (WALB) -  Ever heard the term "smurfing"? Well that's what two south Georgia women were arrested for doing in Thomas County.

Drug agents say 32-year-old Michele King and 37-year-old Deborah Brooker purchased numerous boxes of ephedrine for a Meth cook.

The term "smurfing" refers to the act of buying components for making Methamphetamine.

Agents were waiting in the Wal-mart parking lot when they arrested the women and found maps in their vehicle showing they had made purchases at stores in four other south Georgia counties, and Florida.

Both are charged with unlawful possession of ephedrine and criminal attempt to manufacture Methamphetamine.
