LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -  A Lee County man is arrested and charged with child cruelty after tackling his nephew over a hamburger.

Thirty-six-year-old John William Early is charged with one count of child cruelty. His 20-year-old girlfriend Mindy Danielle Thigpen was charged with obstruction.

Investigators say 36-year-old John William Early got angry because he didn't hear his nephew  say 'okay' when was told he could only have one hamburger.

Earley tackled the boy, and the two wrestled through three rooms, until the teen finally escaped, ran home, and called 911.
