ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany State wide receiver Demetrice Johnson is thriving at his new position
Johnson switched from runningback to reciever this year and two games into the season the senior is leading the Ram's receiving attack.
Johnson chalked up 96 yards reciving Saturday night and two touchdowns in Albany State's 45-0 win over Kentucky State
Johnson has four touchdowns on the season and head coach Mike White is thrilled with the production.
"He's a great receiver, he can take any defensive back we've got. He's that type of runner that no linebacker can match up against him. So he's just an unusual type of athlete and it's a pleasure to have that type of guy on your team" said White.
Albany State is scheduled to play at Stillman College on Saturday. Kick off is set for 5:00.
