
ALBANY, GA (WALB) - SIAC Coaches picked Albany State to win the conference and Saturday the Rams showed why they're the favorites.
Albany State opened up conference play by blowing out Kentucky State 45 to 0.
The Ram defense forced two turnovers and held Kentucky State to 81 yards of total offense.
Quarterback A.J. McKenna completed 14 of 23 passes for 222 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Demetrice Johnson caught six of those passes for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Ronnie Childs had two receptions for 82 yards and two touchdowns.
Albany State will look to improve to 3-0 next Saturday when it visits Stillman College.
