Former Southland pitcher part of minor league no-hitter

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -  Former Southland pitcher David Mixon is one of three pitchers to combine for a no-hitter last night for the San Jose Giants.

Mixon, who had been a reliever much of the season, pitched six innings and struck out ten batters last night in the San Jose Giants 3-0 win over Inland Empire.

Ryan Shave and Rafael Cova finished the final three innings.

David Mixon was a 20th round draft pick of the Giants two years ago after playing at Louisiana-Monroe.

He is now 3-1 this season.
