When the qulaifying period ended at noon, the following candidates had signed to run for office this November-
Ward 2 - Incumbent Dorothy Hubbard, unopposed.
Ward 3 - Morris Gurr chose not to run for another term. Former Commissioner Arthur K. Williams and Chris Pike qualified this morning. Longtime commissioner Williams was ousted by Gurr in 2005.
Ward 5 - Incumbent Bob Langstaff and challenger William Hart qualified to run.
