ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Albany's Mayor Pro Tem officially announces she will seek re-election to the City Commission.

With a couple of dozen supporters surrounding her, Dorothy Hubbard kicked off her campaign for the Ward 2 commission seat.

Hubbard was appointed to finish the term of Henry Mathis when he went to prison.  She then won election in 2005.

Hubbard says she knows how to work with other city leaders to get things done to improve Albany. "I get excited when I think about the possibilities of what could be, and where we could be, if we would just work together."

No one else has announced a run for Hubbard's seat.

The election is November 3rd.
