The only people who will be allowed to visit patients are immediate caregivers. The hospital is concerned about both the swine flu and the seasonal flu and hope to reduce the spread by holding down the number of hospital visitors.
"Casual visitors should not come to the hospital to see patients. We're asking that all children and adolescents, and that's all the way up through college age. Unless you have to be here, don't come to the hospital," Said Dr. Douglas W. Patten, phoebe medical affairs V.P.
The hospital will only issues passes for one or two visitors at time. The policy will be in place and strictly enforced through the end of flu season. Clergy members will not be affected by the visitation restrictions.
