Agents say that police responded to the apartment because of a burglar alarm. Officers found the back door broken open and went inside. That's where they detected a strong odor of marijuana, and saw pot in plain view.More >>
THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Three women are in jail for stealing an elderly man's identity.
The victim, Roy Harris Jr, lives at Woodleaf Assisted Living in Thomasville. Jeannie Singleton was working at the nursing home.
Earlier this month Harris dropped his wallet in the parking lot. Investigators say when Singleton found it, she and her two friends Amanda Glass and Loretta Deshayes used his credit card at Wal-Mart and several convenience stores.
The three women surrendered to Thomas County investigators Monday afternoon. Singleton no longer works at the nursing home.
