ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Need new appliances? Now's the time to buy. There are energy efficient tax incentives that can save you money.

Tankless water heaters are among the high efficiency appliances included in the U.S. Economic Stimulus Plan.

You can get a tax credit of up to 30 percent of the total cost.

An added benefit is that the water heaters could save more than $300  a year on your gas bill.

Mr. Rooter Plumbing onwer Randy Brunswick said  "Usually they will pay for themselves in three years in the energy savings. And with the stimulus package, they can get thirty percent of their total bill off, including the installation, or up to $1500."

Mr. Rooter Plumbing is seeing a big increase in calls for these tankless water heaters, especially from businesses.

You have until the end of 2010 to buy the appliances and claim the tax credit.
