ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A 20-year-old Albany man wanted for shooting a man Tuesday night outside an East Albany apartment is in jail today after turning himself in to police.

Officers arrested Damien Daniels at the corner of Keystone and Edison Drive. He surrendered a half mile away from East Road where investigators say he opened fire on two men as they walked out of an apartment around 9 o'clock.

30-year-old Aaron Harold told investigators that he and 22-year-old Reginald Ball encountered a group of men when one of them pulled a gun and fired several rounds.

Harold was not hit, but Ball was struck in the stomach. He underwent surgery this morning at Phoebe Putney Hospital where is listed in fair condition.

Daniels is charged with aggravated assault and is being held in the Dougherty County Jail.

Right now police say they don't have a motive in the shooting.
