Darton College has issued a security alert about possible gang violence on campus today.
Dougherty County Sheriff's deputies are on campus to assist college police.
The college activated its emergency alert system to notify students and staff about the possible danger.
Investigators tell WALB News 10 that this stems from a fight last night between the Bloods and the Rattlers. Law officers say one gang member's arm was broken.
In retaliation, threats were made that there would be shootings today on the campuses of Darton College, Albany State University, Albany High, Dougherty High, and Monroe High Schools.
A lookout has been posted for three vehicles, a red Ford Mustang, a red Ford Explorer, and a black GMC Denalli.
WALB News 10 is on the campus and will keep you updated.
