Albany- The Albany Alumni Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority celebrated it's founder's day. The sorority was founded in 1913.

Members say not only is it a time to reunite, but also to renew their spirit service.

"During our founders day we have rededication services. Today, we have some of our active Albany alumni sorors and sorors we hope to reclaim," says Chapter President, Viola Brooks.

"This was to bring us together to rededicate ourselves to the purpose of the organization and that is service to our community," adds Corresponding Secretary, Sue Wright

The chapter participates in several service projects each year, including Habitat for Humanity and programs for the elderly.
