Consignment shop offers bargains

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A consignment shop that only opens twice a year is open now in Albany. It sells gently-used items for children from infants to teens.

The store was packed Tuesday night as people who brought items to sell got the first chance to buy. They say in this tough economy, they don't want to miss a chance to save a few bucks. Penny Whitman said, "I come every year, and I usually consign. Didn't consign this year and decided to come and find a Halloween costume and just get some good fall sales. This is the most people I've seen here, and I'm sure it's because of the economy because you can get such good deals here."

The store is in the old pet store location at 2231 Dawson Road. It will be open from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. - 11 a.m.  Saturday.
