Albany-- The father of an NBA basketball star, is arrested in Albany for vehicular homicide. Fifty-five-year-old Eddie Griffin, known as Jock, turned himself in to the Dougherty County Jail Friday.

Griffin, the father of Houston Rocket's forward Eddie Griffin, is charged with Driving Under the Influence. Investigators say that lead to the death of a passenger in his truck during a crash.

About 6:00 pm November 1st, Griffin's truck was hit at the corner of Radium Springs and West Oakridge. 39-year-old Hoover Mathis of Albany, was killed in the crash.

Crime lab tests show that Griffin's blood-alcohol level was over the legal limit.
