ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Thieves stolen hundreds of dollars worth of food from a Radium Springs Church.

The Episcopal Church of Saints John and Mark on Cherry Laurel Lane was broken into Saturday night.

The kitchen was ransacked and the thieves tried to take a big screen TV off the wall, but couldn't.

They did take two large garbage cans full of food items, much of which had been donated to help people in need.

St. Mark's Music Minister John King said  "It certainly put it back for a few days, but we are going back to restore that food. We give a lot to Neighbors in Need, part of the St. Teresa's group. We support other ministries in town. But the church members are replacing it so we can support those ministries. "

Monday morning Dougherty County Police investigated another burglary at the house next door to the church, where a weed eater was stolen.
