South Georgia-- Pelham City Schools sent students home at 10:30 this morning because of a power outage. Georgia power expects to have the power back up late this afternoon.

Staff at the school rode home on the buses with students to make sure a parent was home. If no one was there, the students were returned to the school to be picked up.

Lee County also lost power for part of the morning. Kinchafoonee Primary and Lee Middle School students got to school and had to sit in the dark without heat in parts of the school. Georgia Power crews worked to fix a fuse, and had power back on by nine o'clock.
