ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An elderly woman was robbed and thrown to the ground by two men who are still on the run.

The incident happened on Dorsett Street in Albany.

72-year-old Annie Tarver called police after she says two men snatched her purse as she was coming home from church.

Tarver says during a struggle she was knocked down as they got away with her purse which held credit cards and her phone.

Albany Police officers are patrolling the area.
