MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The Colquitt County Packers expect to be better in the second season under head coach Rush Propst.

The question will be the good enough to make the playoffs in region one quint-a.

Propst's biggest offseason push was improving a defense that allowed more than 30 points in all six region losses.

The defense has ten starters back including defensive lineman Cameron Irving.

On offense, Tyler Brown took over at quarterback at the end of last season and still has the job to start as the Packers look to throw the football in their spread offense to a solid receiving corp that includes Quinn Robertson and Jacob Propst.

Having won five state titles in Alabama, coach Propst believes a taste of the postseason is what his young squad needs in getting the Packers back in the winning direction.

Rush Propst said. "I hope this time next year I am talking about the November experience and the December experience." they used to do that a good bit and that is what we are trying to get back to."

Colquitt County will open the season  against Randolph-Clay.
