DONALSONVILLE AND CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Two people were killed in car crashes in Donalsonville and Cordele Thursday.

The Donalsonville crash happened Thursday morning. 65-year-old Sarah Nash of Donalsonville was turning off Wiley Avenue onto Hwy 91 when she pulled into the path of a tractor trailer.

The collision killed her. Her passenger, 64-year-old Jessie Alday, also from Donalsonville, was injured and taken to the hospital. She's expected to be OK.

Earlier that morning around 4:30 in Cordele, a 71-year-old Florida man was driving southbound on I-75 when he went off the road and struck a guardrail. His vehicle caught fire and burned. The man died. Officials are not yet releasing his name.
