ALBANY, GA (WALB) - To protect your small valuable items, Albany Police will engrave your information on them Saturday morning at the Law Enforcement Center,
From 9AM until noon, members of the Albany Police General Theft Unit will engrave your identifying information on your valuables.
you bring to the Law Enforcement Center. Police say this will help them identify your valualbes if they are stolen and then recovered.
"Example, lap tops, portable DVD's, cameras, digital cameras, things of that nature. And we are asking they bring ten items or less to the Saturday event," said Albany Police Det. Schemika Foster.
Operation Preventive Engraving will be held in the west parking lot behind the Law Enforcement Center on West Ogelthorpe Boulevard from 9AM until noon.
