Albany fire ruled arson

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany Fire Department Investigators say a fire at a vacant home early Friday morning was intentionally set.

Firefighters responded to the 1500 block of East Broad Avenue about 4 AM.  Investigators say the home is being renovated, and no one was living in it.

The fire was set on the floor in the office.

Firefighters say the fire did about $2000 damage.

    Valdosta Police Narcotics Agents stopped a vehicle traveling in the 800 block of South Saint Augustine Road.  The driver identified himself as 50 year old John Demore, but he turned out to be 42 year old Daniel Demore.
