Hinesville-- The people who live near Fort Stewart have a very visible way to show their support to the troops.
If you drive through town, you'll see a lot of American flags. But check out all the yellow ribbons. The downtown streets are lined with them.
They're on the doors of many businesses. Volunteers, including Robin Savoy, put many of them up. She says these simple ribbons send an important message. "That we want our troops to come home safe and sound. The old song, 'Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree.'"
"We're going to kinda tie a yellow ribbon wherever we can right now, and let them know we want them to come home."
Robin's brother and many of her friends are in the Army and deployed overseas. She plans to take pictures of all the yellow ribbons and send them to soldiers to help boost their morale.
