ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany man is indicted for two violent home invasion robberies in April that terrorized the community.

Demetrise Edward McCoy was indicted by the grand jury for armed robbery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and weapons charges. Khadigah Shealy was also indicted as the get away driver in one of the home invasions.

Investigators say McCoy was involved in a home invasion robbery on Woodridge Court April 28th where a man and woman were tied up and beaten by two masked men.

They say McCoy also led a home invasion on Miller Street on April 25th where three masked men tied up a man and hit him in the head with a gun.

D.A. Greg Edwards said he would seek the maximum for these extremely violent crimes.

"Life sentences are available plus some additional times. As I just described, the state will be seeking the most available that we can", Edwards said.

McCoy is being held without bond in the Dougherty County Jail.
