ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Three Police Officers are under investigation for their behavior at an Albany nightclub.

Complaints were filed against the two APD officers and one DCP cop in an incident that happened Saturday night.

Police won't say tell us much about the complaint, but we know the officers are accused of immoral and unethical conduct.  Albany Police Officer Daniel Ball, who is assigned to the drug unit, is named in the complaint.

Sources tell us that he and two other officers were involved in embarrassing and bringing ridicule upon a person at an Albany bar.  And we are told that several people captured the incident on video.

Now Investigators are looking to see if criminal charges or disciplinary action will be brought against the Officers.

The board that oversees the A.D.D.U. acknowledged that two of the three officers involved are assigned to the drug unit. And a fourth officer may be involved.

A.D.D.U. Commander Major Bill Berry said "We are now looking at the allegations of unethical, immoral conduct. And conduct unbecoming an officer, on these officers. And trying to find out their total involvement."

For now, three officers will be suspended with pay. Daniel Ball and two others, whose names police won't tell us.

"We have to makes sure that we adhere to the officer's bill of rights. They have rights too, and we don't want to violate those," Albany Police Chief John Proctor said.

Berry said "Trying to get all the information together so we can understand. So we don't penalize an officer who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time."

A.D.D.U. Board members say they're disappointed in the officers' conduct, and if their actions were criminal, they pledged to turn the Investigation over to the District Attorney's office.

The officials would not give much information, but sources tell us that more than one person took pictures or video of the incident at the bar Saturday, and that will be a key component in the internal investigation.

While top law officers won't release much information on all this right now, they promise full disclosure to the public when their investigation is finished.
