THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - In high school football the Thomasville Bulldogs are coming off a 7-5 season after going 6-1 in region 1 AA last year.
Head coach Richie Marsh has led the Bulldogs to the playoffs for 3 straight seasons.
"The last few years we've never finished where we want to. You never will unless you win it all but we were kind of left with a bad taste in our mouths after the playoffs last year and the kids kind of worked hard" said Marsh.
The offense will be led by the guys up front with four starters back at offensive line.
Jeffery Dyson will handle the duties at runningback and Quarterback Charles Hayes returns.
Hayes should also be a star on defense where he'll play safety.
In total seven starters return to a speedy defense that will be led by safety Frederick Holton and Lanorris Christopher at linebacker.
"We need to be quick and speedy on defense. We were last year and it saved us a lot of misery that we could have had if we weren't as fast" said Marsh.
Thomasville will host Westover in a scrimmage on Thursday night before kicking off the regular season August 28th at Thomas County Central.
