THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - Thomasville High football coach Richie Marsh has led the Bulldogs to the playoffs for 3 straight seasons.
Marsh is proud of the success but says every season is somewhat disappointing unless you win a state championship.
The Bulldogs went 6-1 in region play last year before falling in the second round of the playoffs.
The Bulldogs season ended with a 21-14 loss to Dublin and Coach Marsh says his players haven't forgotten about that game.
The Bulldogs have eight returning starters on both sides of the football who are looking to make a run for the AA state title.
Richie Marsh said. "The last few years we've never finished where we want to. You never will unless you win it all but we were kind of left with a bad taste in our mouths after the playoffs last year and the kids kind of worked hard."
Thomasville will open the season at arch-rival Thomas County Central on August 28th.
