ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Georgia Public Service Commission today approved Albany to use 311 as a public service and information line.

But the 311 line may not be ready by September 1st, because the city is still negotiating with AT&T and cell phone companies.

In the meantime, they have a backup number, 229-878-3111 until everything is worked out.

You'll be able to call that number to find the answer to just about any city, county or Water, Gas and Light question you may have.
