ATHENS, GA (WALB) - Georgia senior quarterback Joe Cox may be ready to run the Bulldogs offense.
The question for that side of the football is finding playmakers who can help Cox get the football into the endzone for touchdowns.Georgia does return receiver A.J. Green who was the freshman of the year in the SEC last year.
The concern though is Green will see plenty of double teams from opposing secondaries.
That means the Bulldogs will need someone else in the receiver corps to also scare opposing defenses.
Former Tift County Blue Devil Israel Troupe is one receiver mentioned as a potential big play receiver for the Georgia offense.
The redshirt sophomore caught five passes in the spring game and is hoping to have even more big catches this fall.
Israel Troupe said. "You know I have got to make big plays this season. Coming behind A.J. That is a big honor. He had a big season last year. To take the pressure off him will be good. Just to compliment him and make plays is my main thing."
Georgia opens the season September 5th at Oklahoma State.
