ALBANY, GA (WALB) -Thousands of college students are back at school today at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in Tifton and the President is optimistic about a successful year ahead.

The President says so far its been a busy yet successful day on campus. This year enrollment was about the same as it was last year, but school officials are expecting to see a much more prepared and improved freshman class.

Students can also expect to see a couple more dining options on campus this year.

"We have a shop that provides sub type sandwiches, pizza hut pizza wings etc. So we have a retail dining option in addition to our regular dining hall also we have a Starbucks coffee shop in the student success center so we've tried to do some of those things to provide more contemporary accommodations," said ABAC President David Bridges.

More than 3,000 students are expected on campus this year, but officials wont know the final count until after this week.
