ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A store owner at the Albany Mall was robbed at gunpoint Monday. Police call the suspect brazen for striking in broad daylight at a very public place.
It was a strange robbery. Mahmoud Hajaz, The owner of Kids World walked out the back door of his store about 11:20 and found a man standing there in a rather surprising position.
Officer Mary Martinez said, "He was actually urinated on the wall back here whenever the owner came out to take out the trash. He asked him what he was doing there and at that time the suspect approached him and asked him for his money and he told him he didn't have any money and he was persistent in asking him and then he reached around on his left side and pulled a gun on him and asked him again for his money."
The suspect did get away with some money, but no one was hurt. Police have not caught the robber.
