ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Tift County man is in jail charged with making threats against a judge who sentenced his wife to jail.
Earlier this week, 49-year-old Thomas Self showed up here at WALB and spoke with one of our reporters.
He told her he was upset that his wife is in jail in Tift county, and he said he planned to drive a tank into the Tift County Courthouse and then shoot Judge Larry Mims with a shotgun.
We reported the threat to the Judge and the GBI was called in to investigate.
Tift county deputies found him Friday morning. They arrested him and charged him with a felony count of Terroristic threats and acts.
