ALBANY, GA (WALB) - It was a busy day at Darton college as hundreds of students registered for school

Officials at Darton college say this year the turnout was enormous and the number of applicants were up by almost 10 percent.

This year students say they are excited to be coming back to many changes including student housing and a new student center. Once its finished, it will have a food court, four bowling allies, racquet ball courts and even a climbing wall.

"Were kind of excited because of the fact that were actually going to have a menu if you can get salads instead of sandwiches everyday if yours on campus all day like I was this summer you get tired of subway," said Darton College student Kwajalein Waters.

The registration process ends Thursday night at 6. School is back in session Friday.
