Albany -- People who rely on the WIC program to help feed their children may soon get a little more help. WIC provides dairy products for at risk children, infants, and pregnant women.

 In South Georgia, more people are applying for the program.

 Nutritionist Allison Dawson said "Yes, in Dougherty County in the last month we have seen an increase of about 100 participants to our already 3,600 caseload."

The Ag Department wants to increase its WIC budget to more than four and a half billion dollars.
