ALBANY, GA (WALB) - As state agencies deal with furloughs the Governor is doing his part.

Sonny Perdue told us today he's already taken his three furlough days. Perdue said last month that state government employees would have to take three furlough days by the end of the calendar year to close a 900 million dollar budget gap.

Perdue says even though he wasn't paid for the days he did show up for work.

The Governor's staff is rotating the days they will take furloughs to make sure there are enough employees to deal with state business.
