On Thursday night,  43-year-old Walter Renfroe from Cordele was killed in a single vehicle accident. It happened five miles south of Cordele on Highway 300.

Just after 10 p.m., Renfroe drove off the side of the road, hitting a culvert. He was not wearing a seat belt. Investigators have not yet determined why Renfroe's car veered off the road.

We now know the identity of a man killed in a crash in that same area Wednesday night. Timothy Mauldin from Sylvester was killed when he was thrown from his vechicle in a two-car on the Interstate near the Highway 300 exit about 11:30 Wednesday night.

Two other people are recovering from injuries in that incident.
