ALBANY, GA (WALB) - An Albany Police officer is suspended after being charged with domestic violence.
Investigators say 24-year old Jason Weaver was arrested about 2:00 a.m. Sunday after an argument with his wife Tamelya Weaver at their home on Churchill Road.
Officer Weaver was charged with simple battery domestic violence. He's been with APD for three years.
Weaver posted a bond, and was relased. Weaver remains on administrative leave with pay pending an internal investigation.
