LOWNDES COUNTY, GA (WALB) - Lowndes County investigators are looking for a man who raped and carjacked a woman yesterday.
The woman stopped at A&M Foodmart on Bemiss Road early Sunday morning.
When she got back into her car, there was a man in the backseat. He forced her to drive to Mt. Olive Baptist Church off of Highway 122 and Skipper Bridge Road where he raped her.
After the man left, the victim flagged down a motorist and was taken to a hospital.
The Lowndes County Sheriff's office is still working with the victim to get a good description of the attacker.
