Georgia preparing for challenging schedule

ATHENS, GA (WALB) - There will be no cupcake opponent for the Georgia Bulldogs to open the 2009 football season.

The Bulldogs will kick off the season at number 11 Oklahoma State on September 5th.

It's the start of what should be a very challenging schedule for Georgia.

Four of the Bulldogs 12 opponents are ranked in the pre-season top 15.

Head Coach Mark Richt says the key to surviving a difficult schedule is building momentum and that it all starts when the Bulldogs kick off the season in Stillwater Oklahoma in less than one month.

"If you have a set back it's tougher to get it going again you know so the goal is to create momentum in camp by how you work and how you prepare and then hopefully you get some wins under your belt and things really start moving" said Richt.

Georgia and Oklahoma State are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 on September 5th.
