ALBANY, GA (WALB) - School is already back in session across South Georgia. and one restaurant wants to make sure every child in Dougherty County has what they need.
Hooters of Albany turned their parking lot into a kid friendly zone for their first ever Kid's Day. Kids were entertained with everything from clowns to a dunking booth.
The Hooters staff also collected school supplies for children in the Dougherty County school system.
"The first day of school those kids are so excited to go back to school and have those new school supplies and we don't want any child to go without we just want to put a smile on their face and send everyone back to school with something," said Lisa Higdon of Hooters.
There was also a focus on safety. The Lee County Sheriff's Office was out today fingerprinting kids.
