DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA (WALB) - It's been a wet week across South Georgia.

Some of the afternoon storms have gotten heavy; one on Friday in east Dougherty County caused some damage.

A pecan tree fell on Vanessa Isaac's home at the Suburban Mobile Home Park on Sylvester Road.

She wasn't home, and no one was injured, but there is substantial damage.

The tree left a gaping hole in the roof and knocked cabinets off the walls.

Isaac said it didn't come as a complete surprise.

"I was worried about it before, but the land lord said the tree was fine and not to worry about it when I came home this is what I found, my neighbor called me, I was at a friend's house and told me a limb fell, and then called me and said the whole tree fell," said Vanassa Isaac, Homeowner

Isaac does have renter's insurance.

She hopes to work with her landlord on getting rid of the tree and cleaning up the mess.
