Mitchell leads Albany Amateur

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Former Deerfield-Windsor golf teammates T.J. Mitchell and Collin Ho are battling each other for the win at the Albany Amateur Championship.

Mitchell leads Ho by a stroke after the University of Georgia golfer shot a 69 at Doublegate Country Club Friday.

Blake Clanton is four shots back.

In the women's flight,  Ole Miss' Kathyrn Fowler leads defending champion Kelly Pearce by a stroke.

Fowler shot a 74 and Pearce had a 75 in the first round.

Saturday's second round is at Stonebridge.
